    Everything about Hodder House was perfect! The location was picture perfect, the beds were comfy, and it was easy to find! Georgina has thought of everything! The kitchen was well stocked with teas/coffee, plates / silverware, pots / pans, toaster and kettle. There were also plenty of towels waiting for us on our beds, which was a welcoming touch. I would stay here again! If you get a chance to walk down to the dock in the morning, look carefully and you’ll see all kinds of jelly fish!

    The house was absolutely gorgeous with an amazing view out over the water. My morning coffee on the back deck in her deck chairs listening to the ocean with the sun shining down was simply perfect.

    Beautiful old house with all the original character of a traditional Newfoundland saltbox house. Absolutely stunning views from bedroom windows and the front deck. We will definitely be repeat guests!

    This house has it all! The location is absolutely stunning, the home is charming and comfortable. I felt at home as soon as I walked in. Very nice touches throughout. Our first morning, I woke early, sat up in bed and caught sight of a whale out of the bedroom window!!

    Hodder house was exactly what we were looking for- a chance to experience a Newfoundland outport town in a stunning setting. We even saw icebergs from our deck! We loved the house and all of the beautiful details from the handmade quilts to the lanterns in each room. We would all go back in a heart beat. Thank you Georgina!

    We loved this little gem. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The toys were a big hit with our 19 month old too! We were lucky to have 3 or 4 ice bergs in the bay too. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

    A beautiful quiet area only a short ways from Trinity. During our stay we had some dark clear skies to see the stars, took advantage of the Random Passage site, the Rugged Beauty Boat Tours and Rising Tide Theatre as well as heading over to Bonavista and Elliston. The family really enjoyed it.

    Beautiful old home in a remarkable location. Quintessential outpost feel - the only sound at night was the waves and the only sight was the stars. It's the perfect getaway if you're looking for complete solitude. The view from the deck and every window in the house is beautiful

    Fantastic spot to get a real feel for the beautiful old port towns, plus a home from an earlier era. The town of New Bonaventure is especially scenic and a throwback to a different time. The Hodder House is an excellent example of that time. It is, though, extremely comfortable to stay in - clean, with comfy beds and a great shower. Will highly recommend to all our friends!      This is an exceptional home which manages to seamlessly combine lovingly restored traditional details with all modern comforts. A charming house in a gorgeous location. Not a long drive to Trinity, but we were glad to have stayed in the more laid back New Bonaventure which had a much quieter more authentic feel. Old Bonaventure just a short walk down the road is definitely worth a look as well.

    This house was perfect for our family, everyone was excited to be in such a beautiful town on this beautiful peninsula. The decor is wonderful, the view is spectacular, the nearby guided tour fun and informative and we couldn't recommend this place more. Thanks for everything.

    The house was adorable! It was very well appointed, nicely decorated, and the beds were comfortable. The views were beautiful, especially from the wrap-around deck. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves. Communicating with Georgina was really easy. She always responded quickly. Check-in and check-out were super easy too! The only thing we wish was that we had more time to enjoy the house and explore the area. Next time, we'll plan for a longer stay!

    We were welcomed to a beautiful home with many pamphlets describing the numerous activities in the region. We found everything we needed and exactly as described in the listing. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this home to anyone considering staying in or around New Bonaventure, Newfoundland. The view was fantastic and seeing the whales so close up was exciting!

    The house is exactly as described, has everything you need, was clean and tidy and has so much character! Instructions to access the house key were straight forward and key pad worked like a charm.  New Bonaventure is lovely with lots to offer including hiking trails, Random Passage Site, Tea Room, Joe's Place (set from The Grand Seduction) and Rugged Beauty Boat Tours with Bruce Miller. It's about a 15 minute drive or so from Trinity but we didn't mind that at all! Highly recommend;-)

    Lovely old house a bit off the beaten path in a very small rural community, and an excellent value. We spent two weeks in Newfoundland and of all the places we stayed, this by far felt like the most authentic Newfoundland experience. There are a number of cultural and natural attractions in the area, including a great boat tour just down the street. Easy access to Trinity, Skerwink Trail, Elliston, and Bonavista. Accommodations are rustic but well-maintained and the kitchen was well stocked.  Very easy check in and check out process. Highly recommended.

     This is a really interesting little place with loads of character and history in a great location, just 15 minutes from Trinity. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, comfortable couches, great patio area. Georgina was also a fantastic host providing all the information we could ask for and a very easy check-in process. Great value for money. Highly recommended.

    We loved this house and its location! The hose is clean, comfortable, roomy, has a great kitchen, well stocked with a new set of pots and pans. It has a terrific view of the bay. The community is very small and quiet and the neighbors are friendly. We wish we could have stayed longer. We could walk out the door and hike (Kerley's Harbor) and drive to the Sherwink trail, another terrific hike where we saw whales and bald eagles. Trinity is lovely and historic and a short drive away. There is a lot to do and see in the area. We were really glad we chose to stay at Hodder House as it was just a bit off the beaten path.

   We were absolutely charmed by this old house that has been renovated while still retaining a lot of personality. And also by the small village of New Bonaventure and its inhabitants. We could even get some fresh lobster from the villagers!

But overall, apart from being very charming, the rooms is the house are very well separated, there is a lot of room for a family and there are even toys for kids and babies. Definitely recommended!

    All the toys and games were a lifesaver for our young children when we arrived late at night and still needed to prepare dinner.  It was WONDERFUL to wake up to the beautiful view the following morning.  The home was immaculate when we arrived- absolutley the most clean home we've rented.  Thank you for sharing your home with us.
